Favorite Tex-Mex in Dallas, and we've tried just about everywhere. Tupy Tacos are a must!

Loved!! I had combo #1. But changed the enchiladas. Had one as a sour cream enchilada. Added chicken to their cheese taco (which is really a cheese enchilada with cheese sauce). Rice / beans were awesome. Didn't love the chips and salsa. Chips are not homemade and tasted packaged. They have a house dipping sauce (on request) which is great for the chips. Hubby had shrimp in ranchero sauce. Very good Smokey flavor. We will be back if we come to Texas again.

The food here is excellent, I would show you if I hadn't eaten most of it as I write this review! Our server is wonderful, he's right on top of it and there when you need him and the food that comes from the kitchen is delicious and the ambience is well, excellent! Brighton, colorful, different textures, and a great amount of seating.! Our waiter, Sergio, did a wonderful job and we enjoyed his care of us!

Food is good, nothing crazy-Pretty mediocre Tex Mex food. This place is a safe choice knowing everything you get will be good. Their chips and salsa are pretty decent. I got the Lunch special Rudy's Special, but substituted the tupy taco for rice and beans and I have also tried the chili relleno dish. They're both pretty good. Our server was Junior and she is very nice. Very good memory and quick on her feet to refill and grab things when needed. Ambiance was casual and diverse, cozy cafe with lots of Aggie spirit. Gig 'em!

Came here for a family dinner. It was a little hard to park. The food portions were large and decent. Waiters were kind! And the flan was good. Nice airy atmosphere. Only downfall, is they are heavily supportive of Texas A&M, gross! It's even plastered on the wall when you come in..

Solid Tex Mex food There are still a few places you can get a plate of enchiladas just like you did anywhere in Texas in 1960,70,80. San Antonio,Austin or Dallas. I'm always reading reviews from people near and far( usually far) who say Texas doesn't have good Mexican food. I grew up in xyz and we knew how to do it. Or,it's nothing like Mexico. That's all accurate because it's none of those. It's Tex Mex. It's here at Tumpinamba. I highly recommend you ... Go

I have been going here since they located on Northwest Hwy, Inwood Rd, and now Central Expressway. I have never anything negative to say about their food. The service is always good. I love the puff tacos. My wife and I try to always stop in when were are in the area.

Arrived at 10:57am today and waited a couple of minutes for the restaurant to open. Doors unlocked at 11am and went in. Seated immediately and my order for a iced tea taken. Perused the menu for a few minutes then advised the server I would have the lunch #12 and a small scoop of guacamole. Food arrived 7-8 minutes later and was incredibly hot (except the guacamole), tasted great, good serving size, and also well presented. I scraped every last drop of queso, chili, lettuce, tomatoes and guacamole off the plates!! Server was polite, efficient, knowledgeable, etc. Lunch special was $12-plus tax, including iced tea. Guacamole was another $6. I'll be back when next in the area in a few weeks.
